Placement Information

Placement decisions are determined by the child’s needs and safety. In addition to safety, child welfare social workers must consider family preference, caretaker ability, location, and other important factors. Placement of children is not determined by Resource Family Approval. During the assessment process Resource Family Applicants may request preference of age and gender. It is very important to note that placement of a specific child or children are not guaranteed upon approval. Placement decisions are discussed between the assigned social worker and the placement team.
